During the weekend of October 16-18, members of the global children’s book community gathered in New York for the 11th USBBY-IBBY (United States Board on Books for Young People/International Board on Books for Young People) Regional Conference. This year’s theme was “Through the Looking Glass: Exploring the Wonderland of International Children’s Literature.” Enjoy these reviews and photos of the weekend and mark your calendars for the next one, to be held in Seattle, Washington in October 2017.

At the 2013 conference, featured speakers were invited to share their reflections on bookjoy! Pat was honored to be part of that year’s poster for International Children’s Book Day and also honored to have her poem illustrated by the talented Ashley Bryan.
