Welcome to our 6th Annual April Díapalooza!

Pat Mora

6th annual DiapaloozaIf you are planning an April culminating Día celebration, we’d like to help you promote your event. Quickly send us an image or two and a quick summary. We’ll promote what we can.

Why do I say “culminating” celebration? The Children’s Day, Book Day initiative, often known as Día promotes a year of creative literacy day by day, día por día, connecting all our children to bookjoy.

We’ve revised and updated our Día Planning Booklet so please print and share with colleagues.

Book Fiesta takes to the road

Pat Mora

Just in time for Día, people in Tucson, Arizon have a chance to spot a van belonging to Make Way for Books, a Tucson nonprofit literacy organization. Make Way for Books reached out to Rafael López a year ago to see if they could use his art from Book Fiesta! Celebrate Children’s Day/Book Day on their company van, which they use to distribute free books for kids. Here, volunteers with Make Way for books show off the newly painted van at this year’s Tucson Festival of Books.
